Some might have heard, some might not have, but I have swine flu. I figured there were lots of questions you guys wanted to ask but were either being polite and not asking or something...lots of people in the family and in the neighborhood have asked and I really don't mind. People are curious and that's cool, I would be. This was supposed to be some life ending disease pandemic thing. So I thought I would describe my experience.

First thing I noticed was a bone tiredness, full body aches, fever and coughing. Pretty normal flu symptoms. This is where the first doctor told us it was a sinus infection. We (I keep saying we because my parents and I all have it.) took the medicine for said infection but continued to get worse. Then the vomiting stage began. Morning sickness was never this bad. I was laying in bed rolled over and I made myself so sick I had to run for the toilet. This kept up roughly every 5 minutes for an hour and a half. But I hadn't eaten anything that day so I was dry heaving and bile was all that was coming up. I couldn't even keep the pill down that was supposed to make it stop. Disgusting I know, but finally it did stop and I got to sleep.

Another thing is I have no apatite. None what so ever, I've had to force myself to eat something small at least once a day.

Theres the coughing. Sometimes the coughing gets so bad and hard it makes me vomit. Consequence of this is I'm losing my voice and my throat burns.

The doctor told us everyone is affected differently by this type of flu. Like all that happened to Zach was a stray cough and a bit of sneezing for a few hours. Some people it only lasts a week, maybe two and still others are in the hospital for months with it. I was also told there was really nothing the doctor could really do but treat the symptoms. So it's really a ride it out kinda thing.

I'm on a lot of hydrocodone at the moment so I can't be sure this all makes sense. But if you've got questions I honestly don't mind answering them ^^ I like talking to people, I haven't done it in forever.

Watching the Tudors. I'm not Anne's biggest fan but for the love of all that is holy Henry is the biggest hypocrite ever. He sleeps around with everything that has boobs and moves, ignoring Anne for the most part (who can blame him, she's a nut job). Then when he hears that Anne slept with another man he gets pissed and it's the inquisition at Hampton Court.

The whole point of this post is to say that double standards piss me off.

This is the Kawasaki Ninja 250R. I want it. Bad. I got to sit on one earlier today. It's surprisingly light, and my feet touch the ground ^^. It's hard to find a bike short enough for me. I've been looking at the Buell like at Harley for years, and nothing there really fit and the cheapest one I found was 15,000. The ninja 250 is only 4,000. I can almost afford that now. I also found a little 125 motocross bike that want. That one is only 2,100. I might just have to buy myself a christmas present.

Other things..um I got a signed Nora Roberts audio book. (and for you smart asses yes it's signed by Nora herself.)

I've started making my christmas gifts for people. Don't laugh, these things take me a while. All the work I put into it is well worth it because they like my handmade gifts so much more then anything bought that I win christmas ^^.

I really want my baby dragon touched up and then I want one (possibly two because I can't pick between two designs). I think it's an addiction. Kinda funny actually. I've never been masochistic, but the pain from the tattoo needle is different. Almost zen in a way. Of course that could just be me.

Cisco 3 (switches) is my bitch! I hate them, but I totally passed the course. And unlike the majority of my class I did not cheat. One more semester, then I can get my certification and the rest of my schooling will be a cake walk. Muwahaha.

It totally caught me off guard. I mean I knew it had to happen sometime soon but I haven't been aware of the date in almost a month and a half. If I can just make it through this week I'll be ok. Once Cisco is done for the semester I'll be able to function again.

Also Olga called me today o.o. Out of nowhere. she's still in town and she wants to get together this weekend ^^ I can't wait. I haven't heard from her in so long. She's also still with Bubba (cause I still can't remember his name for crap). Now all I need to do is get Laura and Lisa to go with me to magnet. I need to harass Mr. Jinks.

So I go to get my car fixed this morning, replace the seat belts and what not. Those are kinda important cause cops get pissy when you have no seat belts. Also makes passing inspection a bit harder.

So I'm gone maybe 20 minutes and I get a call from someone working in the Blanchard Post Office asking if I have a dog named Remy. Great. He got out. I send dad to get him cause I was on I-20 headed into Bossier. Dad brings him home and not two minutes later he's out of the fence again. Only good thing is that now I know how he's getting out. Mother fucker jumped the fence. Not climb over, or on something to jump over it, not dig under the fence. No. He takes a running leap over my damn fence.

Heres the fun part. As long as I (or someone else to distract him) is home, he's fine and content to stay where he is. But as soon as I leave he goes bat shit crazy trying to look for me. Anyone else can leave and it's totally cool. I'm going to have to find this dog a hobby to tire him out or (and I can't believe I'm saying this) put him in the dog day-care down the road.

I also forgot to mention the sheer amount of dirt on the couch from all the plants he knocked down. And the blinds he ATE. Yea...my mom is going to be so pissed. I cleaned everything but the blinds. I have no idea how to get them down but as soon as they come down I'm going to replace them with the kind she likes in hopes she won't make me get rid of Remy.

Just like his namesake, dude can't stay out of trouble.

I got a new dog! Big dog too. Rottweiler hound mix. He's still pretty young (year to 1 1/2) and he's uber sweet ^^. Kinda skinny since I rescued him from Toledo Bend park >.> but he's coming along nicely. I named him Remy. I'll have to post pictures later.

Every time I go to class for cisco it seems like we get farther and farther from what were supposed to be doing. Like we were having a power point on wireless routers. Ok so Monday was my birthday yea? Huzzah 21 and all that jazz (so excited about it aren't I?) It was a good day but nothing much happened. Next day I went out and bought myself a late birthday gift. I wanted to know what the big deal wit Twilight was, so I bought the first book. Started reading it and the next thing I know it's two in the morning o.o. I am sadly addicted. I also want to read all the books before I get the movie.

I haven't gotten into a book like this since I was in high school. Its all nostalgic and shit ^^

Mood: geeky

Took my CCNA2 final tonight. Nearly made myself sick with stress but I passed. I start CCNA3 Tuesday. Half the class didn't make it =/.  I think theres only five or six of us left >.> I'll find out Tuesday.

 Just wish I got a break for a while. Cisco is stressful as hell. 

Got my pell check today. It was way larger than I expected. Went straight toward the down payment on a house ^^

Also replaced the power cord on my laptop! No more unexpected shutdowns! huzzah!

Mood: busy

My head is pounding, and has been since last night. Not even the magic of Tylenol can make the pounding stop. I'm pretty sure all my studying for cisco started the headache and it only got worse and worse when my brother his wife and their daughter got here. Don't get me wrong I love my brother and his family, but his wife and kid drive me nuts! Neither of them know the meaning of the word quiet, and both just go where they please and do whatever without asking.

 For example, they come over and Alex is taking a short nap. Ashley (the kid) starts screaming and running around the house looking for alex. Mechelle (wife) gets ashley to stop screaming then goes into alex's room, and once she sees he's asleep she leaves the room but its to late! He wakes up! And now he's screaming! Then ashley tried to play with the dog but the dog doesn't want to play so sadie (dog) comes to hide by me in my room. Here comes ashley stomping behind sadie loud as hell and she just jumps on my waterbed and starts wrestling with the dog ALL OVER MY CISCO LABS! Does she listen when I tell her to stop it and get the hell off my bed? Of course not. This kid has no disceplin. I could keep going, but I think it best for my head if I stop.

Though on the upside I did get a 100 on my MCSE test this morning. And I'm 2 1/2 labs and 8 tests from done in cisco. Lots of tests, I know.

I've got a day to take it easy and catch up on my sleep and what do i do? Study? The hell is the matter with me. I have lost my slacker ways! I guess its not so bad. When my labs are due and test time comes around there's hardly any stress because I've done it all ahead of time. It's weird...

So in other news I made a peach cobbler. It's made of awesome.

Cisco three nights this week. I need a nap.  My puppy should come nap with me.

Is it seriously the last day of 2008? This year has really flown by. Because it seems the thing to do a recount of the year.

 I went back to school (in shreveport this time)
 I started working on my Cisco certification
 I got married
 I had a kid (I'm still shocked by this one)
 I bought a brand new car o.o
   this also means Lenore was sold T-T she was a good car.
   My new car is a standard and I named him Rei. Yes that  is a MARS reference.
 I discovered that no matter how hard I try I cannot make pumpkin fudge.
 The term money grubbing rat bastards was driven home at least 4 times this year.

If I missed anything thats ok ^^.

Also. I know I haven't been keeping in touch with a lot of you lately, Alex eats my time like candy, but I want to change that. I miss talking to and hanging out with all my friends. I know a good chunk of my friends are in different states and countries now but I can at least still talk to you! If you haven't heard from me in a while, get in touch. I'll also be trying to reach some long lost friends but I may not have current contact info.

One semester of Cisco down, three to go. Also passed the physics class with a 105.  A+ ends this friday, then I get a month break before I get to go back and do it all over again.

Moving on from school things. What is it about a guy that makes him think his girl will take care of everything and all he has to do is go to work and goof off  and maybe help when asked to? I mean really? Something in your genes that keeps your from being responsible? Just curious.
